Following of the success of an exhibition on artist sculptures, his widow aked to realize bronzes models with Siot-Decauville, with a draw expected normally at 50 copies.

DESCRIPTION

Bronze with richly nuanced brown-red patina, signed "E Meissonnier", authentic proof cast of a posthumous edition of « Siot-Decauville Fondeur Paris » stamped 30, of an initial cast run limited at 50. 
Cast run began in 1894 and stopped around 1926.
